Ideas for Tea Party Invitations:

• For the invites I dressed Claire up in tea clothes (floppy hat, gloves, fancy dress) and set her up at a "tea table" outside and took photos of her serving tea. Ideas for Tea Party Decorations:

• I had purchased a set of matching teacups w/ saucers and flipped the cup upside down and placed the saucer on top like a pedestal and place a chocolate covered strawberry on it at each of the girls placesettings. • Purchased bright yellow streamers and balloons and I placed these all over the party are (my thought... the more streamers and balloons you have the better!) • Each place setting had a miniature hat (about the size of a silver dollar) that held the name card. I found these in the craft store and simply added pink ribbon and a rose to the brim of it and then cut a slit in the top to place the place card in. They were very cute! Ideas for Tea Party Food & Cakes:

• Cucumber sandwiches without crusts, PBJ cut with flower cookie cutters and deviled ham. I made miniature scones served with clotted cream and strawberry jam, mini blueberry muffins, and rasberry tarts (cut pre-rolled pie into circles and pressed into mini muffin pans. • The cake was the best part. I made it in the shape of a tea pot. Cake. Bake two cakes in two bowls and one cupcake. After the cake cools, level the tops and put the cakes together, holding them together with frosting. Level the cupcake- this will be the lid of the teapot. • I bought hats (bonnets)after Easter at 90% off original price at Target. I also bought silk flowers at the dollar store, as well as various ribbons. • The first craft was to decorate a tiara for their teddy bear. I bought a kit from the party store. All they had to do was glue jewels onto the tiara. • My daughter has two trunks full of inexpensive dress up clothes. Before the party, she and I put complete outfits in ziplock bags. • The guests were given a brown bag filled with all their crafts, a real miniature tea set with Teddy Bears on it, a tea cup shaped note pad, bracelet and ring, their menu and name plate.
